The Indo-German Energy Programme (IGEN Access - II) is a bilateral cooperation project carried out by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the Indian Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. IGEN Access - II aims to improve the energy supply in rural areas of selected federal states. The programme is being implemented over a period of three years (April 2019 – March 2024). BMZ has commissioned GIZ with the implementation of the project. GIZ is a federal enterprise based in Eschborn and Bonn, Germany.
The IGEN-Access-II programme intends to assist NNRE, state of Odisha and State of Goa to under RE city program for Bhubhneshwar and Panji. GIZ in coordination with MNRE is releasing this service contract with the objective for concept development & to provide consultancy and implementing support to the two City Nodal Agencies (CNA) of Bhubaneshwar and Panji for transforming above mentioned Indian cities to 100% RE cities (with high shares of solar PV generation). The objective of this assignment is to provide consultancy, coordination, capacity building and institutional strengthening, and implementation support for these two cities and the corresponding CNAs and other stakeholders to become 100% RE cities (with high shares of solar PV generation). The contractor will be responsible for undertaking the activities for the two mentioned cities. The scope of the assignment is categorized under four broad outputs.
